I wanted to install yoahoo instant messenger and a box came up and said I needed to do it on the administrtor account..How do I do this?

You have to be logged in with an administrator account to install programs

You need the computer adminstrator to log on and install the software. If you know the administrator password you can log on and install the software under that logon.
If you arent an adminstrator by design then odds are you won't be able to install the software.
If you look in control panel-user accounts you should be able to see who the computer adminstrators are.

you need to be logged into your computer's operating system as an administrator. if you are on a shared computer with other people you may not be a user with administrator rights. go to control panel, click on user accounts and see if your user name has admin rights. if not you have to ask the user who does have rights to allow you to have them

it means u have a limited account so when u log off of your desktop there should be more desktop users which means one of those is an administrator so that person needs to download it and it will come to u bye :) hope this advice i usefull :)

the only option i can see is to get an another messenger which has yahoo service like Trilian, or just use a web messenger like meebo pr e-buddy...

You should log on as computer administrator
