A Clockwork Orange was pyschologically scary. They lived in a society of ultraviolence and rape!

It completely changed the visuals associated with "Singing in the Rain."

'The Exorcist'...not for the movie but what happened after. I went to see it at a midnight showing with a buddy. After it was over and we were driving home (down a dark country road no less) I made the comment that it was the LEAST scary horror film I'd ever seen, totally laughable. It was after this comment that I felt an odd feeling and looked over my shoulder and there in my back seat grinning that grin was...you guessed it! Not believing my eyes I asked my friend to please look in the back seat without explaining why. His scream verified my worst fears though instead of slamming on the brakes and bailing I put my foot to the floor and took that car to 100mph+ like I was somehow going to outrun this demon.

Yup, fear makes you do the craziest things sometimes but we both had enough sense to start yelling "We're sorry, we're sorry" at the top of our lungs! When we looked again thankfully she was gone, but no sooner did we slow down than out of no where a huge, wolf like dog jumped from the ditch right at the car. 100mph again and a lot of screaming later we finally arrived home, both knowing that we had indeed just seen the scariest movie ever.

Oh, and before you jump to conclusions we were both stone sober and under the influence of no substances what so ever. And so it stands, 'The Exorcist' is indeed the scariest of the scary because I'm damn sure not tempting fate to say otherwise.

This will sound strange but the movie that scared me the most was one I saw as a kid called Fail Safe. I won't go into the whole story but at the end New York City is destroyed by a nuclear bomb. I grew up near New York during the height of the Cold War so that movie seemed very real. It scared the **** out of me.

Dawn of the Dead, but that's only because I have a fear of zombies and being trapped.

The movie that scared me into seizures was 13 going on 30. It was the first chick flick I watched in years (an aunt forced me) and it was the first movie ever that I slept through (tired from convulsions).

A knights Tale because in the beginning all the people were mouthing the words to we will rock you by Queen and that song wasn't even out back than in like the 1700's, plus the acting was just plain horrible and scary, two hours of my life that I will never get back and just plain torture to watch!

Psycho, because of the suspense. The music gives a very creepy setting. It was pretty creepy. I haven't seen many scary movies, but this is the creepiest one that I have seen.

The original Night of the Living Dead.

I saw it at the drive-in with somebody I didn't know too well at the time. I began to be spooked by the people walking past the car on their way to the refreshment stand because I thought they might be flesh-eating zombies!!!!!! lol

I think the one that freaked me out the most was The Mothman Prophecies. It wasn't really a scarey movie but, it freaked me out because it was too real and I had actually experienced some events that were similar.
