high expectations of what? Bearing in mind you are asking in arts and humanities, i an guessing you mean with regard to work? Or maybe you mean in relationships?
Everybody has a reason to have high expectations. If you didnt then you would never strive to be any better than you already are. Eg, I have high expectations of my class at school because if i didnt they would realise and run riot!! lol
If you think the expectations are there for no reason you might wana chave a chat with whomever you had in mind when you asked this. Sometimes, everbody needs a wake-up call t realise that their expectations are not the same as someone else's and are maybe unrealistic to that other person.

Their mindset is such. They always dream and fancy things and events which are difficult to achieve.

because as kids we watch TV and see these perfect guys and think that's the way they all are. we want a night in shining armor not a loser in aluminum foil, we want prince charming!

beacause most guys are slobs and they dont want that so they raise their expectations so they can get a good man
