How thick is the glass? Is it bulletproof glass or crystal? IS the walnut an English walnut or a Black walnut?

This is the kind of question that can be tested most easily by conducting an experiment - get some walnuts and ask your folks if you can use some glass in your house to check it out. I would, if it was my kid. But I would also make him pay for any damage...

probably niether, but if one did break it would depend on the condition of the walnut and glass, and what type of glass was used. Glass although generally brittle can be made exceptionally hard and difficult to break, an example is bulletproof glass. If the bullet wouldn't break the glass do you think the walnut would?

Depends on how hard you throw it and the thickness and type of glass.. Given a hefty throw my money would be on the walnut breaking normal household glass.

it depends on the thickness of the glass, the speed and size of the walnut and at what distance you are throwing it.
