No it is not bad for you
it is a proved fact that even a glass of wine a day is good for your blood and immune system.
It was first questioned when the question why Italians in Italy lived longer healthier lives when they are not known to exercise nor eat right.
The alcohol in wine has been found to actually aid in many functions of your body.
But no more then a wine glass filled to the appropriate amount.
To all those that say any alcohol drink is bad are full of beans and need to check on things before they hit the send button.

no, a few beers will not do any damage to your brain. many people will argue convincingly that a good quality beer (naturally brewed and with no preservatives - this does not include coors miller bud or any of their ilk) actually has positive health benefits. If you are only drinking once or twice a week and you drink 1, 2, even 3 beers at a time, the negative effects on your system will likely be negligible.

Alcohol, in mederation, actually has positive health benefits. Like many other things, it is a good slave, but a poor master.
Red wine in particular (1 glass a day) has been shown to be particularly good for you.
A "few" beers, getting marginal. Mainly because of the calorific value. One or two is fine. Just drink it slower. Use it to create "me" time, where you can just chill out.

A few drinks, once in a while probably won't hurt you. The problem is that after a while people tend to drink more and more. Then you could develop some serious problems. Not just with your health, but with your life in general.

Any kind of alchohol in any amount is damaging to your body. It depends on your certain body type on how much damage a certain amount will do to you, but remember that alchohol is not just bad for your brain. I'd say maybe on special occasions like Thanksgiving or New Years or maybe even your birthday, but nothing much more.
