You want a lightweight show designed specifically for running.
These would usually be Adidas, or New Balance. I have been using a pair of Adidas for running for about two years now, and they work great!
You definately don't want your running shoes heavy, trust me! They feel like cement blocks connected to your feet and they're just plain uncomfortable!

Make SURE you get good runners, asics or saucony are the top kind. It wouldn't hurt to get inserts as well to help them from breaking down and more cushion/support. Most guy tend to wear under armor zip ups in the cold since hoodies can get heavy and annoying while youre out there. ANYTHING under armour is good to wear whether its short sleeve long sleeve or cut off, nike does a pretty good job with there stuff too but UA is better for cold gear/hot gear. If there is a track near you try to go there every once in awhile. The cushioning on that helps alot. The cement is bad for your knees and my mom cant run anymor ebecause of that but as long as youre not running 10k a day you'll be quite alright:) good luck!!! dont ever stop running!

I have a pair of New Balance 608's that I absolutely love. Light weight, good cushioning, comfortable for the entire run. Great shoes.

Asics are by far the best jogging/running shoe. Check it out, you'll feel the difference.

I have a pair of Nike Shocks...I bought them about a year ago, but I love them because they fit nice and are very comfortable and would be good for athletic activity.

nike funning shoes i gotz some and there really good to jog in your feet dont even hurt and iuf so th gel insults feal really good to

When I go jogging I like to wear my nike shocks. they give me a goodhold onto the ground. their also very comfy! :D

Nikes are pretty comfortable, they have a big selection at Lady Footlocker
