Its a difficult question!! a word we use so often but I actually had to think about what to say.
I would use the word 'average'. Anything that is average is generally normal, don't you think? lol

Of or related to 'norms', which are an instance of centralized tendency or 'average'. For instance, not killing people is the 'norm' - because the majority of people don't kill people. Thus the behaviour of not killing people is 'normal'.
And it's bi-directional. In ethics for example we normally act a certain way because something is considered 'just', but we also consider something 'just' because it's what we normally do. The study of this area is call normativity.
