Try Christmas after eight family birthdays! oh yes and I need to tax my car! :( I have to spread the cost other wise I'd be completely broke, but with a little planning and thought you can make it work. I am now an accomplished bargin hunter and even though the price of even the simplest of gifts seems to have gone through the roof I can usually get all I need within my budget. The key is to stick to the amount you want to spend and be strict with yourself, start now if you haven't already and buy something each week. Best of luck.

I love christmas and buying presents for my family but every year i worry about how i'm gonna afford especially when the family gets bigger every year. I put a limit on the amount i spend on my family with the exepction of my daughter and partner. As I only have one child at the moment i like to spoil her if I can. But it certainly helps to plan your gona spend

I try to spread my money as far as possible.
I have lots of decorations so that is not an expense. I do bake cakes and small loaf foods and make up gift baskets of foods and spices and wine if they drink...most of my relatives live in other states so sending food baskets with gift certificates has become almost standard fare for us... start saving early..as a mom and grandmom with siblings and their families I have many to buy for. My food gifts with teas and other powder drinks to ect. are designed with using up leftovers in mind.

Yeah I like it but every year it seems to get more expensive and you hate to look like a skint flint.
