The screws are out and the bracket doesn't reset.

You can't just push it in. There is a big metal ring part around the outside.

I just drill out the exterior ring from the body of the molly bolt, pry off the ring with a putty knife and push the molly inside the wall. Then patch the hole with spackle.

Use a sharp drill bit, larger than the diameter of the molly screw, but smaller than the molly body. Drill lightly, not aggressively.

Ya don't get them out. You remove the screw, and push the remainder of the molly inside the wall, then repair the hole with spakle.

Unscrew the screw and then insert thescrew into the molly tap it with a hammer so you can pull it out a little ways then take a pair of cutters and cut the flange off and push it in then fix the hole

back the screw out about a half inch, then push it in to reverse the spreading action of the molly, then carefully slide the molly back out of the hole.

I usually leave them in the wall and reset the bracket with a ball peen hammer, then cover with spackle or joint compound.

push it through the sheetrock, it will fall, and then spackle the hole.
