Whats the meaning of common sense?

I believe its the accumulation of common knowledge on a broad base. Do you agree, whats your definition?

Common sense is what most humans possess and what the others possess is ignorance. And you ask how common sense is derived, well, mostly through trial and error in the formative years and then later, if we deviate too much from these learned behaviors we become ignorant

I disagree. Common sense is that knowledge which is available to all simply through the act of living. Such as you don't put your hand in the fire or attempt to fly from a cliff. Anybody trying these things lacks "common sense"

it usually means the kind of intelligence that is not based
on formal education. it does not take a rocket scientist
to know not to overspend your income, stay away from
hot surfaces, that if you are mean to me i will not be
disposed to do you favors, you get the idea.
