Twice now our Ebay account has been hijacked, we followed all the instructions from Ebay to change passwords etc. We put our car on again and within 2 hours it had been changed to another make of car. How can we stop this from happening again?
Serious answers only please, as I will have no problem reporting anyone who puts abuse and garbage as an answer.

As a serious eBay user myself, it is VITALLY important to contact eBay RIGHT NOW. They hate hijackers even more than you. Pull the listing immediately, and head to the Contact Us section of help. If it's indeed a hijack, they'll help you track down the source. It could also be a glitch at their end, but that's not likely...
Pull listing, contact eBay now!

It appears that Ebay is among the worst in security measures. I do not have nor have I ever had an account with Ebay, but I kept getting emails about my "ebay account" being compromised. I was supposed to click and link and change "my password by typing the old password, then choosing a new one."
I reported this to Ebay. Their answer: Yes, it was a scam, and to be sure there were no problems with my account, sign on using the web page and change my password. They completely missed I do not have and have never had an account. So now I get emails frequently from ebay asking if I want to upgrade my non-existent account.
I don't have a real answer for you, except a suggestion to not use Ebay.

i take it that you are receiving an email from ebay. Ebay never ask for any information like your password or bank/credit crad details. It sounds like that you are getting spoof mail which needs to be forwarded to ebay. Never ever reply to an email asking you to sign into your ebay account by clicking on a link within the email under any circumstances. Only ever enter your ebay account directly through Ebay itself. Change your password regular and if i was you i would change credit/debit card details and statements and possibly change cards completely because they will use your details on other sites not just ebay once they get hold of them. If in any doubt always forward any email to ebay and do not act on them unless ebay confirm that they are ok but this is unlikely to happen.

This occurred to me as quickly as. in case you alter your password on your digital mail account, you may desire to be ok. And use diverse passwords to your ebay and digital mail debts. i could propose telling your purchasers which you have had no get admission to on your ebay account by way of fact it became hijacked, and apologise for the inconvenience. Wait till you notice what interest there has been on your ebay account. you may ought to get a great sort of unfavorable comments bumped off.

it sounds like someone has enough personal info about you to enter your account. if you can access your eBay account change your password, but also change the secret questions that are used to identify you in the event you need to change your account. oh, and never never go to one of those pages emailed to you telling you that eBay needs to confirm information about your account, if you enter your account info into one of those sites you just gave it away to some kid that wants to mess up your account. Also you can call eBay about this, and they will help you sort it out, the later might be the best because you don't want some joker steeling your private info.

It does sound like you are being phished.
Have you considered using the ebay toolbar? This is supposed to help prevent such things happening.
