limewire is free, and the saying that it is infested with viruses is true too.....but only if you're not using some precaution, I have a ton-load of stuff from there and its all virus-free, its the know how.You can even get the" pro version " from limewire, without paying.

I downloaded LimeWire and paid something like $20-25 for a lifetime subscription. I am sure there are places to download it for free, but I chose to do it the honest way. I figure the amount of money I am saving on Cd's and iTunes, it's worth it.
Some people are idiots and attach viruses, but as long as you have Norton or another anti virus software, it will catch it immediately before the download completes.

I'll tell you what, Limewire is free, but is a file sharing network, so yes, it is prone to virus', but if you send me an email, I'll send you the set up file for MP3 Rocket Pro, the professional edition of Limewire, and from this, you cannot get virus'. Plus it's a lot faster.

Download the free version of limewire....then install/setup
Run Limewire and Type in Limewire PRO in the search box under softwares and you can dl the real limewire for free.
Or a better way to dl movies/songs/games/programs is to use torrents....
Download Azureus
Go to www.torrentspy.com to dl almost anything

it's free, unless you want Limewire PRO. I'm not sure if it gives viruses, but if you have an antivirus program on your computer it should be ok.

LimeWire is free, but it is Adware, which means it will put spyware into your computer, and yes you can get viruses from the stuff you download

there are 2 versions, there is a free one, and a version where you have to pay. but the problem with limewire is that many programs you download are trojans, so that's why i use several programs, not only limewire.

Limewire is fast easy and free...well the basic that is. you can download the basic for free or get the pro for a one time fee of 24.00....i have it and i love it!!!! NO...i have never had any virisus on mine

theres alot of viruses on limewire dont use it .. download that bearshare less viruses .. and if your going to download movies use utorrent and download torrents
