that the Declaration of Independence not acknowledges a Creator but that our right to independence is gained from that Creator

Roy you folks are so predictable. Rather than address a legitimate well thought out question with a legitimate well thought out answer you dodge the question. You change the subject and resort to name calling. Anything other than engage in so real honest legitimate debate.

No. The NEA will tell you that the Declaration of Independence mandates that kindergartners read "Jennifer's Two Mommies" and "My Daddy's Boyfriend," and that all second graders must be instructed on how to put condoms on bananas.

that the Declaration of Independence not acknowledges a Creator

what kind of writing is that? and by nea do you mean national endowment for the arts? what exactly do they care about the right to independence being gained from a creator?

secondly, if the right to independence is gained from a creator isn't that in essence recognizing a creator?

They do admit that the Declaration says that but they will go on to say that it was written in a less enlightened age just as the laws of time that governs the ownership of slaves.
I happen to aggree that we only have our rights through the will of our Creator, but liberals can not be tricked into saying what the party line is against.

So did they mention Who that creator was? Should we all worship Horus? After all the all seeing eye of Horus is on the dollar bill? Who is your favorite God? Is this the one we should worship as a country? Let's face it Jesus did not promote the government worship him. Did Jesus legislate Chrsitianity? I could care if Our government promoted a generic god. I doubt it would impress my God much. I know for a fact thet my god only accepts those that choose him there is no way to legislate him. He gave you free will to worship or not as you see fit. And so far our government has allowed us the same options. I would hope you will always have the same freedom and that YOUR god is not generic.
