Probably not.
Nate Robertson will more than likely get the ball in game 1.
It's worked so far, and if it aint broke---dont fix it!
WRONG JEFFREY!
The reason Tiger fans booed Kenny Rodgers at the all star game In Detroit was because a lot of us thought that Jeremy Bonderman should have gotten that nod. NOT because of that cameraman incident. I know you're upset that The Tigers beat your precious little yankees, and all....but get real.

If I were Jim Leyland, he'd pitch Game 2. Rogers pitches much better at home than on the road, which is why he was saved for Game 3 in the two other series. But this time Detroit will be at home in games 1 and 2. If you have Rogers pitch Game 2, he'd also be set to pitch a Game 6 at home.
My rotation would be: Robertson, Rogers, Verlander, Bonderman. Like Georgie said, why tinker too much with what's worked so far? Even though Robertson is clearly an inferior pitcher to the other three, having him go Game 1 has worked twice already, so might as well let him go first again.

I think he should. Leyland arranged the rotation to keep Rogers from having to pitch on the road, as the atmosphere at Yankee Stadium would have been very hostile, and Rogers has a history of melting under pressure on the road in big spots (most Yankee fans know this from '96). I think he needs to pitch game one, which will be at home, because he is really thriving with the fans behind him. It's actually kind of funny, he was booed at the all-star game in Detroit last year after his incident with the camera man, but now that he is a Tiger, they love him!

He should. He's the veteran, and he's pitching well right now. I think it would be in the Tiger's best interest to pitch him in game 1.
