Hi all.I have a broken dell lat 505 with an"integrated bluetooth adaptor".I also have a dell lat 600 without bluetooth which i brought as a replacement. Can the integrated bluetooth on the 505 be removed and installed in the 600?On the control panel of the 600 it shows bluetooth devices icon(but showing no devices found). If i can remove it from the 505,where is it in the laptop ie;on the motherboard, under the keyboard or on a pci card somewhere??

I am so sick of the exploding laptop thing, you probably have a better chance of being struck by lightning. Anyway, I found a page in the manual for your laptop that might be of some help:http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd505/sm/blue.htm#1000550

check the dell website. they have diagrams and documentation for maintenance of the laptop which will include specific info about where the bluetooth adapter is on each model. however laptop architecture is very complex so this might not be easy. i would guess it is under the keybaord and attached to the motherboard. hopefully not just a chip on the mb either or otherwise it will be a waste of time. you could always try a pcmcia bluetooth adapter or usb bluetooth adapter. a lot less hassle and quite cheap too. check out the links i found one for £6.99.

If you say that the Bluetooth is integrated that means that it is built into the main motherboard of the laptop and cannot be removed through any means..

No idea, but I'd avoid Dell like the plague. Exploding laptops? Awooga!
