What was your favorite toy to play with?

When I was little, my parents wouldn't buy me a Barbie van, even though I wanted one more than anything else in the world. So I used to make my own out of empty beer cases, (remember the really old-school cases that were long and skinny and there were 2 rows of 6 bottles?). I cut out doors and windows, drew furniture on the inside...I even made little curtains once. Then I'd tie a string to one end and drag it up and down the street we lived on. (Oh ya, how white trash is THAT?) My mom was mortified and eventually she was embarrased enough that she went and bought me my damn Barbie van.

My friends make fun of me for this story. I think it's hilarious.

My dolls pram but I never really liked dolls, so I used to put my stuffed dog in it. I've still got that stuffed dog 43 years later!

Also I got two toy telephones for Christmas that were joined by a long wire. I put one in the kitchen and one in my bedroom that morning and rang my mum to tell her what I wanted for breakfast!

I had one of those "Space Tilt" things, where you had to twist the knobs to get the marble through the maze of holes. Man, I could play that thing for HOURS...!

my fav toy was this beat up teddy bear that i used to take everywhere with me. i named it "Crying Teddy" because he looked like he was crying! i still have him hes in my room! lol
