Sorry, they can terminate your employment since one of the requirements of your job is to drive a vehicle and now you cannot for 6 months. Perhaps you should talk to your boss and ask for a leave of absence until you get your license issue resolved.

Hi RC,,,
Wow, this might come as a surprise but ,, Yes the company can fire you...
I work for a world wide company , and if we as much as get a DUI,,, its automatic,,,, and they check our driving records every year ... even a speeding ticket now can get us terminated if we do Not tell our supervisors about it....

It all has to do with the insurance they pay on us driving our their cars... even if you get the ticket or hauled off to the pokey,,,, in your own vehical....

good luck

Unless you get under the influence at your office or a violation like such while driving a Co. car I don't think so just DON'T FREAKING DRINK AND DRIVE!!!! Did Nancy Reagan 8 years at the White House mean nothing to you???? You put at stake the lives of others, ever heard of cabs? Use one!

The judge can allow you to drive to and from work. An employer can fire you for getting a DUI. Then you go get a labor lawyer and guess who will win........YOU!
