make paper spiders or bats and have kids decorate them with glitter and markers and felt and basically anything. you could get styrofoam balls and have kids paint them orange and then when they dry paint over that with faces or use felt and make faces and glitter and glue.. i can think of so much stuff.. you could get also make ghosts with paper too. you could get yarn and the kids could attach them to the yarn and hang them around places.

Take a while Kleenex and wrap it over the top of a Tootsie Pop. Tie it on just under the Pop part with Halloween-colored yarn. Use a black marker to make a face.
Ta-da! You just made a yummy ghost. These make great treats for the little monsters at your door.

White cloth or paper over a tootsie pop and a string around the base of the lollipop to make ghosts.

Buy orange tee shirts and have the kids design their own shirt.

Last year we bought several Styrofoam balls and put white fabric over them that was all jaggedy at the ends. Use a black sharpie to make the eyes and mouth. Then we hung them in the trees. I also bought a white plastic disposable table cloth at the dollar store and put it on a card table outside and used the sharpie to make a ghost face on it. I put all of our pumpkins on it to keep them off the ground....(we live in the northwest where it rains allot and the slugs get to the pumpkins.)
Anyway, this year I am going to use cheese clothe on the little ghosts. I also saw an idea to get lengths of cheese clothe, which is pretty cheep, and dye it in coffee and then put rips and holes in it. Then you hang it up in your windows and it looks like creepy, old moth eaten curtains.

Have fun!!!!!!

You can make spider bracelets with black pipe cleaners. Use four and twist them together to make the eight legs. Then use one more to twist on the bottom to go around the wrist. Then all you have to do us glue a black pom pom on top, put on some wiggly eyes and you have a spider that the kids can wear on their arm.
