Job coaches are used by CEO's and the lowest man on the totem pole they will help you find job leads, get interviews, help you with interviewing techniques, they will also help you with cover letters, thank you letters, Resume formatting, and moral support. my son has one that is sponsored through the state due to a disability. if someone asks upfront on the Internet I would hold off before paying and check their background.

IF THE COACH IS ASKING YOU TO PAY MONEY BEFORE HE FINDS YOU A JOB IT IS A SCAM. IF HE IS WILLING TO BE PAID UPON YOU GETTING A JOB THEN THEY CAN DO LOTS OF THINGS LIKE HELP YOU WITH A RESUME, INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES, HELP YOU FIND OPENINGS, ETC.
NEVER PAY UP FRONT. THAT IS A SCAM FOR SURE. THEY WILL TELL YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT TO HEAR TO GET YOUR MONEY.
