Does it mean that the male species is more violent than the female species? Why?

That is an easy question, my dear. Yes, of course men are more prone to violence than women. (I say "prone" because there are of course exceptions to the rule.) But Evolutionary Psychology has shown that violent behavior is in men's DNA, as they had the role of protector and hunter back in the Neanderthal days.
That's the "nature" answer. The "nurture" also explains it: even as little boys men are taught to fight for their rights, while girls are taught to deflect: to go tell someone.
And lastly: it has been shown that the hormone testosterone increases violent behavior, even in women.

It's a guess, but maybe because men love the feeling of power and theyre more out there in the open with it. In a sense... power isn't anything without it being publicized for many men.. They say... "What does the man with all the money and power in the world want?" - More power.

Regarding women...

in the animal kingdom... the male lion is known as "The King of the Jungle"

He sits around, eating all day and growling...

Where as the female lions go out and hunt... take care of their babies, etc...

Women are simply beasts when they want and need... they have a lot of power, but dont show it all the time. Theyre more affectionate and nurturing. It's not an instinctual trait, gene, whatever you want to call it.

Men are of war... they fight the battles, they have the strength and many of the criminal masterminds with power, do it... out of respect and physical pleasure because they feel powerful with it.

What about you? ask yourself...

do you think you would enjoy murdering ? you played with barbies, and played house. Where as the boys played with the sling shots, cars and guns. They have a feel on harshness in general. I believe more than women. Maybe that can be a bit helpful. I just said what i thought... haha

Women have more emotional connections to life and that is the foremost reason why they are less apt to commit violent crimes such as murder, second they do not have the physical strength of men who, when coupled with hormones can do vile things ,even against life itself.but wherever employed men can be the most compassionate beings there are ,the balance between the emotions is key to finding the balance between the sexes.

The truth is that men commit more crimes of all types. Why, I'm not sure but it is probably because men are risk takers more than women.

I think it's due to marriage. Most male murders are married. So, this leads to the question, why does marriage cause violence.. ummm, if you need to ask, then you obviously have never been married.

quick to anger, but quick to forgive, but for women, once they are in violent mood, they tend to mutiliate the body of an opponent, more vicious that is.
