I'm 17 and I'm interested in the banking fields. I thought that the best way to get some experience as well as earn a few $$$ would be to start by working at a Bank during the Summer to learn the basics. What's the process for doing so? How should I start?

Apply to the bank of your choice online. I currently work for a bank and we have "seasonal" employees. They generally work in the summer and on breaks from school. For a teller or Customer service position they provide training before placing you into a branch. There is endless opportunities in banking, and continuous training if you find you like it!

I agree with norag. If you get hired, you will start off probably sorting checks and maybe as a teller trainee. If you think you like it, then I would suggest you go to a career school where they teach banking. Good luck.
