well, it's been years since I took drawing
I use to be very talented until I felt that my drawings are second rate
so I quit....and did other things like studying and sports
but then I am starting to take drawing again since I could make a career out of it
but the question is, where should I start?
what do I need?

Start drawing all the time, practice pratice practice. Get pencils, charcoals, paper, a camera ( to take pictures of what you'd like to draw but dont have time to sit and do right then ). Stretch yourself, use paints, use colors, try something on a software program find what you enjoy and where your talent could take you.

practice practice practice, go back to the basics to start off with, i used to be pretty good at drawing and i quit for awhile for the same reason, i'm not a freshman in college doing industrial design (University of Cincinnati, ranked 2nd in the nation for industrial design), i'm taking a 3 hour drawing studio two days of the week and we started drawing basic shapes and working our way along and it's really helping, my skills are starting to come back it's like riding a bike you never really forget.

pencils (make sure to get a good range from like a 6B to about a 4H)
charcoals if you like that medium but you will use them in college
kneaded and plastic erasers
and Duh! paper make sure to get a good sized drawing pad and make sure to cover the page when practicing

thats just the basics for supplies you'll need more for college
