The third one is balanced. (2 Al2O3----> 4Al + 3O2)
Simply because you have the same number of each element on both sides. In every reaction this is essential since u can only end with whatever u had started out with, so if u started out with 4 atoms of carbon on the reactant side, and u end up with 1 on the product side, u will have to multiply the carbon by 4 to make it even or balanced. It is one of the principles of chemistry.

For the eq. that i selected above, there were 4 Al on both sides and 6 Oxygen on both sides. Thats why it is balnced

Check it out 4 urself and see!

no expert but i believe the 3rd one with 4 total Al and 6 total O

it's the third one! the coefficient 2 means that there are two moles of the compound. therefore, there are four aluminum atoms and six oxygen atoms. since the reactants side of the equation had 4Al and 3O2 (totaling to six oxygen atoms), then it is balanced.

the third one is balanced, there are the same number of atoms for each element before and after the reaction

2Al2O3 -> 2Al + 3O2

It balances because there are two moles of Al and 6 moles of O on the left and two moles of Al and 6 moles of O on the right.
