Basically, I'd like to set-up a contest which enables people to create and submit their own video clip according to parameters set out by the competition. I'd then like the public to vote for their best clip. If all clips are tagged with (for example) "CoolComp", then is it possible to have these clips automatically uploaded to another website/blog?

Is this sort of thing cheap to do?
Can it be put onto a branded channel?

Any help, much appreciated!

From your site, you could use the RSS features that YouTube offers:

http://youtube.com/rssls

and pick up on the videos tagged with whatever your compo tag is.

You'll need a RSS parser, e.g. Magpie ( http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/ ) at your end to turn your RSS back into HTML.
