It is an old jacket, and has probably been in the closet for years.

Let it hang outside in the fresh air. If that doesn't help then you can wipe the outside of the jacket with babyoil. It will recondition the leather and give it a clean smell. Also you can wipe it down with a cloth of diluted alcohol. (one cup rubbing alcohol to one cup warm water). Also, saddle soap, mild soap, or soap containing a fungicide or germicide. This kills the mildew or mold that might be in the jacket.

Put it in a pillow case with fabric softner sheets and toss in the dryer on cool for 10 or 15 minutes. Then hang it outside to air out.

Take it to the cleaners. Have them freshen it up, No reason to mess it up with home remedies
