If you were asked to create a cultural time capsual which would be burried and opened in 2106 (100 years from now), what would you put into it, to represent your vision of the British culture?
This is an informal survey, and hopefully light-hearted.
Please list all items you'd put in to represent being British, and also say which part of Britain you live in.
Thanks.

I would put copies of all of today's national newspapers and the celeb/gossip magazines.
I would put a selection of catalogues from shops advertising toys and gifts for christmas.
Information about the main three political parties, information about the council in the area I live in. A copy of the latest census statistics.
Gadgets - such as iPod or similar. Electric Razor, maybe some sex toys and Ann Summers catalogue - Top 40 cd singles. Sat Nav and PDA.
A range of children's toy's.
Photographs of the area the capsule is to be burried in.
Some postage stamps and money.
Information about CHAV's and many other sub-cultures that exist within the main culture.

First of all,I think the question should be open to everyone. I live in the north-east of England. I'd put in video camera and tapes, newspaper, photos and as I don't know how big this capsule would be,that's it.

our leaders mistakes with conflicts of todays world like going into Iraq.
the need of the poor
immigration rights and wrongs
highlight UK problems of guns, drugs, booze, prositution, murders (racial and non racial)
tax issues
Basically everything which could be useful research fr the future, so many they could learn from our mistakes of today.
pointless puttuing anything good in there as that would be recorded and placed in history and made popular. whereas all bad things never or rarely get mentioned.
