The reason that we do not have a nationally recognized (and televised)"First Nations Month" is because we are not one to want to bring attention to ourselves...we are still trying to overcome what has been happening for the past 500 years. Our people struggle and are put more so under a microscope than any other...the reason being because we were confined to which was originally: undeveloped horrid land that are called reservations; which brings our people in groups and usually viewed as one...which can be devastating for some tribes, as every race has there bad seeds.

Anyway, Natives are a very welcoming, accepting, warm, spiritual people. Which unfortunately became our downfall in 1492.

But I love everybody, as long as you know who you are, accept it, and stay away from the sophomoric attitudes of small minded people...than you are good people, no matter what color skin you have!

We have as much right to complain about what the white people did to us generations ago, but we have more respect for ourselves. We understand that noone alive today was involved, and that noone owes us a darn thing. The sooner other races realize the same thing, and realize that they are responsible for their situation, the better.

,Since no one has ever treated me personally any different , I have no problem . I could be sore and cry about what happened to my people in years past , but who would that help or what difference would it make .
