poorer countries dragging down the richer ones, immigration, turkey and potential terrorism, the 1.7% inflation rate, low GDP per capita, no military,

the EU has alot of problems, do you ever think it will ever even out and becomne like the USA or do you think it will go "**** up" so to speak?

I don't think the aim of the EU is or should be to become exactly like the USA as a model but it will form a more unified cohesive unit - it has to if these countries are to have any power compared to the States, China, etc.

Together they form an important political economic and military power and a counter weight to some of the USA military economic project.
I don't think it will fall apart exactly - in fact i think it is strategically wise to incorporate the eastern europe countries and turkey - they will only get incorporated by some other power block or falter on the side lines if we didn't.

Europe will never conquer individual nationalistic states BUT that energy would be redirected to solve Europe's larger issues.
