I woke up this morning to a crap start you see my sister in law is an agent for farepak christmas hampers and has been for many years . Anyway this mornin without warning it was in the sunday paper that the company has gone into receivership. My poor sister in law had orders including her own for over 5000 pound i myself are 400 pound down.I would be really interested if there is anyone else in this situation and if anyone can offer advice about getting our money back. thanks

I can't find aything anywhere on news websites about Farepak, which I don't know if its a good thing or not. My mother is a Farepak agent, and should be getting £5000 worth of vouchers next month for her customers

There is no hope of getting your money back, sorry. This happened to me a couple of years ago when a large electrical company went into liquidation. Luckily I only lost £100 and I never did get it back.(I was told to put a claim in with the liquidator which I did but nothing ever came of it) It happened just before a Christmas time and others lost a lot of money for computers (for their kids for Christmas) which they had been paying for. It's a disgrace and I'm really sorry you both have lost so much.
