I thought it could be a broken belt when the washing machine stop spinning, when I opened it up the belts were ok. Which is the best way to set a washing machine when you need to work on it from underneath?

There are several ways that manufacturers use to make a washer spin. If you provide the make and model number you will get a proper answer to your problem.

You need to be more specific when you ask a question about
an appliance. If it washes, but does not spin, then it is probably
a defective door switch, which shuts off the spin when the door
is lifted. You can replace this switch from the top or just eliminate
it by cutting the wires to the switch and just wire-nutting them
together. This is the most common - Kenmore, Whirlpool, roper,
kitchenaid. top loaders. If you have a front loader then you have
more serious problems and need to call a tech. If its an old
belt driven washer made by whirlpool, it could also be a defective
Wig-wag solenoid on the transmission which changes the direction of the motor.

The knuckle just above the belt drive area could be broken on the shaft and you would barely be able to see it, thats the most common part to break, do not flip over the machine as oil from the gear box will leak out. Most machines are very easily dissassembled by simply removing the two screws on the control panel flipping it over, "popping" two spring clips, and carefully lifting the whole front off the machine. then access is pretty easy. If the knuckle is ok, then buy a new machine the gear box is shot. The knuckle should be able to be ordered for under 20 U.S. dollars.

it quite is probable out of stability... possibly the final load you washed become too heavy? attempt to rotate it adequate to repair it and don't over load it lower back! I even have the comparable concern with the used washer we've. stable luck!!

Check the pump - it may simply be blocked. Washer will not spin with a blocked pump.
Or the balance mechanism may be faulty/need resetting

lay it down on it's back (seriously) then you will have full access to everything. Oh, and the belt might appear to be OK, but could have stretched, and so now it is slipping
