As a director of a new version of HAMLET set for production in the coming months, how would you begin your version of the play? Think of changes you might make in setting, characters, costumes, text, lighting, and music. Explain and defend your choices in a short paragraph.

Oboy! The Danish Play...what hasn't been done. This requires a lot more thought than I can apply right now. I can see a modern day format set in a corporate New York (Metropolitan City) with a contemporary theme. It works on several levels.

BTW I recently saw a Chinese version of Hamlet in a film in the Toronto International Film Festival.
