Let's say you're watching a forest from a distance, and you see a tree fall. You don't hear anything though, because you're too far away. However, you do see a flock of birds fly away from near where the tree fell. This would mean that the birds heard the noise of the tree when it hit the ground.

Or how about you leave a tape recorder in the forest and a tree falls. You play back the tape and sure enough it's just what you would have expected had there been a human around to hear the sound of the tree falling.

These things indicate that a tree falling WILL make a sound whether or not a human being was present to hear it.

Well basically it does have to make a sound because imagine if you fell on the floor and you broke your head u have to hear something crack. This just an example but yeah it would make a sound if a tree falls down.

It means "if nobody notices something does it matter". But the technical answer if you want to be a smart aleck is No. A sound is something the brain registers when you hear. If nobody hears it then there isn't a sound, only vibrations that would have become sounds had someone heard it..

probably
you can put a recorder in a forest and go away
chop half of it then leave and wait for it to fall down
then check the tape lol

im sure animals and bugs around the tree hear it

If the tree falls down in the forest and no one is there to see it, did it really fall down?

That, my expensive, isn't clever by any ability. yet once you opt to nicely known if there's a God, then look at the Bible. Is there any information against it? And use this quote: "in case you do away with the impossible, even if maintains to be, although unbelievable, could desire to be the reality." you probable know who stated that. ;)

Scientifically a sound is what is recieved not what is sent..so by definition no it does not make a sound. philosophically yes it does.
