over the course of one's lifetime, one can earn about a million dollars more (probably more than that, actually) than someone with a high school education....

Another good question to ask yourself is. how much 'happier' is a person with a college degree vrs someone with just a high school education. i don't think there would be any difference. Makes you wonder whether its worth it!

Check out this graph.. it shows median salaries vs education years. Note this is not an "average" salary... rather the one that runs in the "middle" between the highest and lowest salaries.

I have heard that people with college deggree make and average more of 17-28 K a year!!! than someone without college
