seriously...dont even think just ask whatever it is on your mind...
i mean you can start that type of thing with anyone..shy or not.

sometimes a shy person isnt that shy when he/she gets to know you..if you cant find things to say, itll look like your also shy..so they keep quiet.

be yourself..even tho sometimes that may not be good, but well if he/she doesnt like what you really are..then i guess its not meant to be.

but yeah jus say whatever it is on your mind man. are you a shy person too? i dont know if two shy people works good with eachother

Actually when the person is shy makes it much easier for the one who is not shy. You may feel as though they are not interested in the conversation, but chances are they are so shy that they may think that what they have to say is not interesting. Best thing is by asking simple questions to break the ice. Compliment them. You would really have to hold most of the converstation at first but in time, if you show real interest , they will break out of their shell.

It is hard to overcome shyness, but not impossible. Oh, you are going to hate this answer so much! That's because you have to work at it. You will not want to or will you be comfortable. Here is an exercises for you.

Where ever you are planning to go tomorrow\, plan to speak to at least one person for absolutely no reason. The trick is to plan ahead and envision in your head that you are talking to someone. Of course, it rarely goes like you planned, but that is OK. Just talk about the weather. Next time you do it, talk about your location. Then continue to expand by asking them if they do this often, or come here, OR their opinion about something. If this person is a complete stranger, then you can tell them something about yourself. "Oh look at that unusual car. I really think that old cars are so cool or interesting." Do you see what I mean. After awhile of doing this, it will become more comfortable for you and you can step it up. Plan questions for people at a wedding that you are attending. For instance, "Which side of the couple are you related to?" Where do you come from? How did you get here?" These are simple questions, but designed to show that person that you want to talk to them. You don't even have to know anything about them. You are about to start a new adventure. Have fun!

I think it's always nice to ask them their opinion about something that they can't just answer "yes" or "no" to. Often shy people think that what they say will sound stupid or that no one will care what they think. So I think that a opening up like that would be a great conversation starter, plus a way to affirm the shy individual.

Just be really loud and over-confident to compensate for their shyness, even if it's only a one way conversation! They will go back to the people they know and tell them about the "conversation" they had with you, which will embolden them in the future!

Say" tickle your ar$e with a feather" and when they challenge your rudeness claim you said" it's a touch of nasty weather" and off you go , ice broken ! don't make the mistake of repeating" it's pi$$ing down out there ".
