Much more important than material things, give them something that will revive pleasant memories. A collection of pictures of long forgotten family vacations or reunions for example.

C-clamps, pistol grip clamps, any kind of clamps,
Extension cord and extension cord holders/rollers,
Shop vac supplies,
Variety packs of bolts, nuts and screws,
Variety packs of drill bits and screwdriver heads,
Router bits,
Saber/circular saw blades (fine cut, rip cut, different use blades),
Dremel drills, bits and accesories,
And big rolls of the largest, strongest trash bags you can find.
I never can seem to have enough of any of the above!
