They should smell like disnfectants - whatever the brand the hospital prefers as per regulations, that they have to use them from time to time.

I work in the hospital and we use Lysol.

UM I was wondering, why are you wanting to know what a hospital smells like? Well any ways it smells like rubber gloves and old people too me.

A faint smell of lukewarm pee.
It's hard to describe..

Especially nearer the wards.
In other areas it is mostly a smell of disinfectant/cleaners.

hospitals are ussualy very cold. (coldness kills germs) but to me hospital smell more like medecine and hand sanitizer. But inside the rooms it may probably smell bad if the patient has a bad sickness. For example: cancer(a really baD SMELL)

Our local hospital smells of vomit, sweat, urine and poo mixed with cheap bleach, and dirty mop heads... mmm lovely but that's the NHS for you!
