Forget your brother he's probably just trying to get on your nerves. My brother does the same thing.

It is brother'ly love for you. I have a brother and he say that too. And brothers are try to get you mean. Your friends a right and it is your life. And u do what u what to do like wear the make-up. Don't listen to your brother at all.

Thats because he's your brother. He's looking out for you so then you dont go OVERBOARD with the makeup (looking slutty). Just talk to him and tell him it hurts your feelings when he calls you ugly and you know what your limits are.

Looks are subjective, and I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in a sibling's opinion of my appearance unless perhaps the two of you are very close...
What matters is that when you look in the mirror, you like what you see...currently the makeup style for women is fairly light...a more natural look (esp for daytime) is preferred...for night, a little heavier...
Perhaps your brother is just one of those guys that doesn't like any makeup on a chick...you're not living your life for him though...you're living it for you...

Yeah...sounds like a typical brother response. I have 2 myself...I'm sure he'd say the same thing either way. Ignore him and go with what YOU think is good.

Brothers are like that. Go with how you feel. Don't worry about what anyone else says. If you are happy with your look and it's not excessive or over done, than go with how you feel.

If he's at least 13, give him the benefit of the doubt; he may want to help you, but just lack the gift of tact.

dont worry, if you think you look good with makeup then just wear it, dont listen to your brother, boys know nothing about makeup, trust me they really dont if it works out send me back!!

when i first started wearing make up my brothers thought i looked weird. its just that they arent used to seeing you wearing make up. Dont listen to him because brothers are just like that lol. if you think you look pretty, then stick to it :)
