I was never bullied because I could take care of myself. Therefore the bullies stayed away, because they didn't want a bloody nose! Also, the bullied kids tried to bond with me because I was strong and wasn't a bully. I stood up for the weaker kids if I liked them, and I have to admit, I bullied the complete space-wasters!
Where I went to school you had to be tough, if you weren't you were a victim of the bullies. If you had something about you, you could get "protection" from the tough kids, othewise you were merely fodder for the bullies.
My moral would be that your kid should be tough, and not a bully.
Of course I come from a generation where fathers were allowed to teach toughness in their kids, in today's Nanny State I think the best you can hope for is that your children only bend over for AMERICA.

i was a victim of bullies back when i was at school, and so alas i'd choose to be a victim of bullies again. i would hate to be the bad guy if you know what i mean, and although at times i do feel hatred and anger, i would never vent my anger and hatred on those vulnerable or less vulnerable to myself. and because i'd be the victim, yes i'd endure a lot of abuse- physical and verbal, but as the saying goes what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, and so no matter how bad it gets, i'd still have the last laugh in the end, regardless

Be bullied, but be able to tell me they are being bullied. I wouldnt bother going to the school, they dont do anything, I would go straight to the irresponsible parents and have it out with them.
Kids that bully are a product of parents who dont know how to bring up kids to be responsible, respectful individuals. They are probably being bullied at home.
Good question by the way!

It's a really tough question but if i had to choose one i would say the victim. I would hate to think one of my children could be so cruel and hurt another child. My son is 10 and was being bullied, yes it's awful but we got it sorted and he is ok but i would hate it for my kids to be cruel as it would mean that they had learnt nothing from us.
Tough question but a Good one.

A victim of bullies, bullies are cowards and their victims know it and eventually most of them learn to get the better of bullies.

Toughie. I would have to say the victim. I know it sounds horrid - but if your child is a victim then things can be done, you can move schools, etc etc. But if your child's a bully, then I reckon it might be harder to "cure" as it were.
I don't have children - maybe I would answer differently if I did.

My kid was a victim of bullies. His older brother took care of that. The school wouldn't, so we took care of it.
