there is a new woman commentator on CBC, im not sexiest, however, i found her commentary to be somewhat annoying, but i think its cause im so used to hearing guy commantators in hockey, i need to get used to it, as for the ref situation, im not entirely sure, this would be more of a question for the NHL hierarchy, they may be able to help you out.and yes Spezza Rocks, THe sens are my favorite eastern team. And no i wasnt laughing at your question, its a good question.

Easy if their were girl refs. Then tehy wouldn't play attention to the game. Plus alot of refs. get hit with body checks and hockey. I don't want to sound mean, but were stronger than you. We'll might kill or hurt you severely. No one wants that in the back of the minds of the players. As far as the announcing issue. The majority of people watching the games are men. That's why there are male announcers. Plus they just go with what they did in the past.

Give it time, it will happen. I've been to so many hockey games (goalie Mom) and see more and more girls being in voled i hockey. It's great to watch.
