Adobe Premiere Help?

Hi, I've imported one large .mov file in to Premiere 6.5 and was wondering if anyone can advise on how I can chop this up and make it in to separate clips so I can sort using the storyboard window or appear as separate clips in the Project window?

place it in timeline,
cut as necessary,
save each as a different clip
and add in project....
otherwise use another program
