No. Nirvana came about at the right time and made a serious impact during a time where the music industry was looking for a new trend to latch onto. However, I think there are rock bands out there who may not have the same level of exposure that have more talent. (Opeth or Ayreon come to mind as examples.)

Yes, they are the best band ever. Why do nirvana haters bother answering questions concerning Nirvana anyways. Still have not figured that one out but oh well. Perhaps they are all closet Nirvana fans. Anyways Kurt had more intensity than any other artist so far and the whole band was great. I am becoming very nostalgic as I write. When will another great and authentic band arise and free us from our boredom again???

Cobain was a lyrical genius. Dave Grohl should still be a drummer. Nirvana's music defined a generation, however, for the most part their instrumentation was anything spectacular, any kid with a guitar can play the songs. But you know, that's why there has been thousands of bands throughout time, everyone identifies with something different at different times in their lives.

They aren't the best band, but they are a good band in my opinion. They have grown so overrated since Kurt Cobain's suicide/murder/whatever that it's horrible. Twelve year olds running around with Nirvana shirts while only knowing one or two songs, Rape Me/ Smells like Teen Spirit/ whatever songs are being played constantly on the radio, make me sick and tend to lower Nirvana's reputation.

No most definately not. Kurt Cobain was a tormented genius but he never had the creativity or talent of someone else who died in their early twenties such as say Jim Morrisson.
Great band though (RIP Kurt)

They were good, but I like other bands better. They were revolutionary, for sure, but so were other bands.
