My name is Anitra Diane
Anitra after my mother Anita and my Grandmother Juanita
Diane after my Aunt Diana..
I go by Diane because my Aunt lived pretty far away and the day to day confusion of having Anitra, Anita and Juanita all living in the same house became too much... Asking a caller to repeat the name 3-4 times so you are sure to get the right person to the telephone is annoying...

My name is Holly and I was born on December 23 and brought home on Christmas day in a stocking to my grandmothers house in time for presents! My mother thought I was going to be a boy so she had a boy name all picked out and was shocked to find out I was a girl. Christmas day came and she still had not named me and wanted to go home and they wouldn't let her leave the hospital without a birth certificate. So she just picked Holly, for the season - she could have chosen Carole or Noel I suppose but am thirlled with my name! Good friends call me Hollyberry!

My name is Kenyatta, my father name me after Jomo Kenyatta, the first President of Kenya. Also in Swahili my name back wards "Taa ya Kenya" means for the “light of Kenya. My father love black history and read a lot about Jomo Kenyatta and thought he was a great man, so he name me after him. I use to hate my name when I was younger but after reading and studying the person I was name after I didn't feel so bad and felt proud that I was name after someone that was apart of are history.

My name is Nicole. My mom told me that she had my name picked out when she was 13 years old. She thought it was the prettiest name she had ever heard and knew that when she had a daughter she would be called Nicole. Of course she never calls me Nicole unless I've done something wrong and am in trouble. *lol*

My name is Jennifer.... My mom just loved the name. I don't think she knew that every other little girl in the 70's would be named the same. I love my name though and would never change it.
