Hi Sammi.
You don't say how tall you are or how big or small boned you are. One thing to bear in mind though is the fact that most guys prefer a girl with curves than a stick insect to snuggle up with.
Also I read in a magazine ages ago that most women in the UK are actually a size 16 plus.
So if you want to lose weight for you and not for your image then go for it but if deep down you know that this is the size you are meant to be then learn to love yourself the way you are.
I am 5o and have always been a size 14 and finally realise that I am in good shape for my age and I wouldn't want my curves to ever go away.

Depends on your height and the size of your bones. I am size 12 or 14 and I think I need to lose 20 lbs.

Sammi, YES you do need to lose weight. you probably want to be size 8. Start eating a healthy diet, more fruit and vegetables and exercising 1 hour a day and in 6 months you will be size 8.

Hard to say. How tall are you? A 14-16 at 6' is very different than at 5'. How much do you weigh? Is your bone structure broad, medium, or slight?
I'm 5'10" and your same size post-baby-birth and consider myself as needing to lose weight. My bone structure is broad.

Health wise probably it would be better to lose a few, but people come in every sizes and a 14-16 is not THAT big.

It depends if you're okay for your height and build and you're not overweight then i would say no you don't need to lose weight bcos you even get plus size models who are beautiful so you don't need to be a size 8 to look beautiful cos its all within.

what size clothes you wear does not determine if you need to lose weight what determines that is how you feel and how you feel you look dont ever let anyone make you feel like you need to lose weight that is as personal a decision as the process of losing weight is. i see it like this, they cant lose the weight for you so why should they say you need to lose it

You gotta get a treadmill. They are brilliant. I got one at home and go on it after the kids have gone to bed. I do about 30 mins brisk walking and end with a brisk run of about 5 mins. Followed by a healthy diet you really do get fast results. I lost about 7 pounds in a week.
You feel great when you are finished, but you must drink plenty of water.

I used to be that size & got down to a size 3. here is what I did-
Eat grilled chicken or fish, lots of fruit, & veggies throughout the day whenever you get hungry. eat only until your hunger is satisfied, not until you feel really full.do not eat anything 2 hrs before you go to bed. drink lots of water & green tea. do not consume calories in beverages unless it is skim milk. eat also only whole-grains & low-fat dairy. DO NOT eat white bread or rice, potatoes, pasta, sugar, or much salt. jog or bike 30 min/day 4 or more times /week. walk 30 min all other days.do push-ups & crunches. get good sleep & take a multi-vitamin. stay with it & it will work- best of luck to you.

there is not really enough information to know for sure. maybe, maybe not. you could have said you are size 18 and the answer would still be maybe maybe not. it depends on a lot of things. if you had said you were a size 8 and were asking if you needed to put weight on, i'd say yes, for godsakes, eat something.
