Not another one.. are you kidding me???? The girl has major issues and everyone including her and her parents need to stop blaming everyone else instead of her... and getting her the help she needs... what she did was illegal.... no way around it.. the SS just went and scared her so that she won't do something stupid like that again... if it had been 4 years later she would have been arrested.. at 14 she doesn't realize the consequences of her actions so the SS put a scare in her.. which is what should have happened. People need to put the blame where it belongs.. they didn't take her, they didn't arrest her, they didn't torture her, they didn't take her to headquarters and interrogate her.. they went to her school and told her what happens when people do stuff like that... and then told her they would destroy her file.... so I don't see how the SS did anything wrong.. except teach her a lesson... at least hopefully

well it is a federal crime to make that threat. 14 or not one has to take personal responsibility. freedom of speech is Great, but it comes with the fact you have to live with what you say. as far as the parents are concerned well does the school include the parents every time the kid gets sent to the councilor, or the principle, what if the kid got caught shop lifting, security would not wait until the parents arrived to start the investigation, on in that fact neither would the police. If you disagree with the laws on the books, then lobby to change them.

It does not matter how much you dislike, disapprove, disagree or even hate the President. You CAN NOT make threats about him ever. No matter if they are harmless outbursts by a kid. It is a federal offense and can be and is considered as treason or terroristic in nature. Believe me I think he is the equivalent of the evil talking george monkey and I dislike like him and his policies, not to mention the whole Iraq thing. But you will never see me make that statement or any like it. Just for that self same reason.

In my opinion, no, they haven't crossed the line at all. The girl commited a federal offense and our goverment followed up accordingly.

no they have not . this is proof liberals are corrupting america by preaching their hate . they convinced a 14 year old girl that the president was so bad she wants to kill him . i really wish instead of bashing bush liberals and all democrats would stick with issues
