Its a femi-nazi quote I read the other day- "Why are men so much more interested in women...than women are in men?"

I think it's how the attraction goes. If men are more interested "sexually" in women; and most women, at least a well-rounded women, are mostly interested in intellect, or getting to know the guy first before taking the relationship to another level, such as sexual interaction.
In the past, women were interested in men so they'd have someone to take care of her, she was taught to be "dependent" on her hubby-to-be. Then women-haters, began whining and crying, and squealing like stuck pigs, cos they thought women were only interested their money, and not in them.
You see, in the past, men made the choices. Women just sat around waiting to be picked. It was considered unladylike to even think a woman could make a choice in a mate.
Women of today DO in fact "make choices" too. If a man hits on her, if she doesn't like him, she can say no. If she sees someone she's attracted to, she can make the first move if she likes.
So women today became independent and don't really "need" men financially anymore. :-) So most of them take their time getting married. Taking their time to build a small fortune first before settling down. Building her career/profession before she "gets stuck at home" raising kids, being a house keeper, private accountant, chauffuer, coach, nanny, etc.
In the past men were thought of as "weak-willed" and if a woman dressed even mildly provocatively, ie., showing a wrist, or an ankle, it was believed that it was her fault if she was raped. Today's men are taught to control their own desires and taught respect to women. Although men still have strong desires, it is viewed as "more interested in women", than the woman is.
Does that make sense?

I am more interested in what a femi-nazi is. Women have far more to think of then men. Men have nothing better to think of then women.

Men are physical creatures and women are emotional creatures. Men show or express their selves more through physical communication where as women tend to through emotional communication. Women are just as interested in men as visa-versa; we just show it in a different way. The quote does not bother me, just a little reminder that the argument is still out there..lol

Women are interested in men as much as men are to women but women just pretend that men are not so interesting when in fact they are.

I think men have objectified us major. They see women naked here, there, & everywhere. Naked women on the bus ... naked women covered with rust ... in the mag's ... on the tube ... and hanging on the walls while men dream of being screwed.
Since men are living in total fantasyland ...well, they've stopped caring about the importance of their self-appearance - manners - and wooing techniques.
So, we have women looking at naked women and wanting to be loved by men; so they act like the naked women and covet purses & shoes ... women are so self-concious that they can't notice anything other than "What's she wearing/ acting like" how do I get to look better. This is lots of effort to keep up with the Victoria's Secrete modles ... so much time, most women forget to look at the guys.
We have men who see naked women and then think that they've had relations (physical) with them ... so why worry about appearances ... they just want the visual stimulation. Each visual stimulation leads the man to want to explore his options ... so he spreads himself thin, and never finds a relationship ... instead, a string of romances ... which seems is what men want ... so I'll take Conan O'Brien's word & the other comedians that this is all they want.
Too much of anything can lead to uncomfortable imbalances. In this case, it's the explosion of marketing women.

I do not think that is quite true. I just think their areas of interest in each other vary.

Because women give birth to little men and raise them and nurture them --- so they already know about men - they have MOTHERED them.
