Hedonism will be the salvation of society, people will allow others to seek out the pleasure they want in their life without imposing their flawed moral guidance on them. And as hedonists don't judge others those who still insist upon sticking to the principles they have that misguidedly taught them that morality can only be achieved by sucking all the joy out of life can continue on their miserable path with no worry from the rest of the people.

I think it could be, some have suggested it was or contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire.
Perhaps it's because in 'our' desire to please and entertain ourselves we forget the much more important issues. Such as destruction of the environment, Global warming etc. Though that's less the downfall of society and more the degradation of the world we live in.
What should our priorities be? How should we live out our lives?
These are the big questions.
