If you don't want the babies, just leave her in with the other fish. They'll take care of them by eating them. If you want the babies, put her in a seperate tank/bowl and after she has them put her back in with the other fish and keep the babies seperate.

My friend just had guppy babies and had same issue. Buy a cheap breeding floating tank --about $5. and put the momma in there. It has a v shaped drop below her so when the babies come out they go to the bottom. Once she has delivered them, you can move her to the normal tank and leave the babies in the breeder tank. Then you just need fry food from the pet store. I would check- I am not sure swords lay eggs. They may have live birth like guppies. That really matters.

It depends on what else you have in your tank. I had mollies breed in my tank and all the babys survive. If you have another tank setup it would be in her best intrest to move her into it. After the babys are born you can put her back and let the babys grow in their own tank. Feeding the babys is easy too, just finly crush up the fish flacks so the babys can eat them(why waste money on fry food when it's just ground up fish food?) Good luck with the baby's

put her in a breeding tank it can be in the main tank the babies will drop to the bottom of the breeding tank so the mother cant eat them..If you don't want the babies just leave her in the main tank the other fish will soon eat the babies except for the ones that can hide in the plants

Calm down fish birth is nothing to get scared about,Let the fish have her eggs some-where safe other fish in the tank may not be good belive it or not some fish eat other fish`es eggs its very sad,But just don`t worry about it you could pray for your fish to have a safe birth but don`t worry she`ll have a nice little fish baby!

they make a breeding box sometimes called a seperator it can be hung over the top of a tank and it creates like a little room for the momma and babies to be in. this is a great idea so that other fish wont bother her or the babies.

Depneds do you want the babies if you do put her in a seprate tank and when the babies are born put her back with the other fish and eep the babies in the seprate tank until their big enough to not be eaten.
