I am thinking the outcome of this election will decide the issue.

Boo: falicy ad hominem really does not qualify as a response. You are not refering to the stolen election of 2000 were you?

I answer is to keep using reliable machines like this one.

They are big, green ugly and cheat-proof.

A voting machine should never need to be plugged in. Never mind your paper trail. Good old fashioned gears and levers are the order of the day. There are some things that just can't be improved and this is a good example of that. Keep the Green machines!

The real issue is not cheating, its accuracy.

It will be some time before hackers are sophisticated enough to steal an election like you are suggesting.

I think you are a bit hysterical but you have a point. Just don't overstate your case. That's the best way to lose an argument.

In Connecticut they want to use those optical readers even though everyone knows they have an error rate even if used right.

God help us. No one listens to reason anymore.

Congress passed a bill that will allow funding to states for paper ballots to be in place by then. But I'm thinking with the way the Federal Government operates, it is highly unlikely.
