Without question I would go for the Dell 2407WFP. I have one and it works great and is definitely huge. Make sure your video card will support 1920x1200 resolution though, and you're going to need a really ballsy one to run any new game on this monitor.

I agree with Cuite.

I have the Hanns-G 199DP 19" monitor and it is great. I got mine about 6 months ago and I'm completely satisfied with it thus far.

Don't just buy what others recommend. Do a little research yourself so you understand what you are buying. The following Yahoo page is a good page for a little education about monitors, especially the LCD's.

http://tech.yahoo.com/rc/monitors/115;_ylt=AgYrL9hjZQoqvAJOG_ehjnwFLZA5

Scroll down to near the bottom of this page and review:
For Dummies: Monitor Buying Guide
For Dummies: LCD vs CRT Monitors

Then scroll back up to the top of the page and review the BASICS link.

One of the KEY Aspects to a LCD monitor is the Contrast Ratio. I would not buy any LCD with a Contrast Ration of less than 700:1. The higher this number is the better the "resolution" of the display will be. You can get an LCD up in the 900:1 or even 1100:1 if you are willing to spend that much money. However, I've found that 700:1 is fine and the video/graphics are just fine.

Review those articles I've referenced above; educate yourself, and then take some recommendations from others.

Check out the LCD monitors on http://www.tigerdirect.com not only for price but you can read the buyers reviews also. Just select a monitor and go to that page on TigerDirect and read up on the Tech Specs and the User Reviews.

Between http://www.tigerdirect.com and http://www.pricewatch.com you should be able to locate a really good deal on a very good monitor.

Hope this helps and happy hunting!!!

you can usually go to any pawn shop or thrift store and get a good used monitor , cheap enough and most times a name brand one as people just get new and give old away.
