My solicitor charged me £210 + VAT per hour. He was head of a department family law department in his company. I have so far paid almost £2000 for a promise from someone to stay away from me for 3 months and it didn't even include an order to stay away from my daughter the real object of threat. Strange but I even got a bill after the undertaking run out!

Depends on the court and the solicitor. Usually they do it for little to nothing.
